Files are processed locally
All available photo and document tools read and process your selected photos and PDFs in your browser. File contents and filenames are not sent to our API or stored by us. The page holds selected files, decoded photos and generated downloads in memory while you work. Removing the files or leaving the page releases these resources.
Downloads and metadata
Files you download are saved to the location you choose and remain there until you remove them. Exported images are drawn onto a new canvas, discarding source metadata such as GPS and camera information. PDFs made from images embed exported images, not original files.
The DPI checker reads dimensions and supported density tags without changing your original. Its optional text report contains measurements and your print estimate; it excludes image contents, filenames, GPS and camera details.
Merge PDF and Split PDF read your documents in a local browser worker and create new PDFs from selected pages. They do not copy source document metadata into the new title or author fields, but page content, annotations and referenced data can remain. Merging and splitting are not redaction or sanitization. No PDF content or filename is sent to our server. Cancelling terminates the worker; removing files or leaving the page releases retained files and download links.
PDF to Images renders selected pages locally with bundled PDF.js workers, fonts and image decoders. Requests for these static assets go to our site; PDF contents are never included. Document JavaScript is not executed. PNG and JPEG exports contain page pixels with source PDF metadata discarded. Any personal information visible on a page remains visible in the image. Previews, parsing workers and download links are released when you remove the document or leave the page.
Document Scan Cleanup adjusts image pixels locally in a browser worker. It can change colors and remove faint details; original files remain unchanged. Transparent areas become white and source metadata is discarded from exports. No image data is sent to our server. Removing the image or leaving the page releases its bitmap, preview canvases and download links.
Image Metadata Remover rebuilds images from their decoded pixels without copying original EXIF, GPS, XMP, IPTC, comments or embedded thumbnails. It does not display or collect these fields. New browser-generated format, color-space or density tags may remain. Information visible in pixels is unchanged; this is not redaction or a guarantee of anonymity.
Signature Image Maker holds your strokes and selected photo in browser memory only. It does not save drafts, transmit signatures or collect drawing coordinates. Uploaded dark ink is extracted and recolored locally. Clear the pad, remove the image or leave the page to release that source; leaving also clears downloads. Exported images discard source metadata. Keep downloaded signature images secure on your own device.
Image to Text OCR recognizes English text in a local browser worker. Your selected image, prepared pixels, extracted text and corrections are not sent to our server or another OCR service. The engine and English model are downloaded from this site only when you start OCR and may remain in the browser's ordinary HTTP cache. No image or text is stored in that model cache, cookies, local storage or IndexedDB by this tool. Cancelling terminates the OCR worker. Removing the image or leaving the page clears its image, text and download links. The Copy action writes the edited text to your device's clipboard; downloaded text files remain where you save them. The editor disables spellchecking to avoid requesting browser spelling services for document text.
Website requests
Your browser requests the site’s pages and scripts from the hosting provider, Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes connection and request information, such as your IP address, requested URL, browser headers and request time, to deliver and protect the website. Its data handling is described in the Cloudflare privacy policy. These website requests do not include the files you select or the text extracted by OCR. Turaba Tools does not run an upload service or save document contents on the hosting platform.
